민주당같으면 벌써 전대치렀을겁니다

성탄연휴 잘 지내고 계신가요?
정말 춥죠? 눈도 많이 오는 지방도 있고--
여러분들을 뵙는데 다들
한나라당 걱정입니다.
저 역시 걱정스럽습니다.
안상수대표가 물러나고 안물러나고
혹은 대국민 성명을 발표하고 안하고 문제가 아닙니다.
당에 보다 아주 근본적인 문제가
있다는 생각이 들어섭니다.
변화를 두려워하는 DNA가 이식된 느낌입니다.
사람들이 변화를 두려워하는
가장 큰 이유는 '기득권'에 대한 집착때문입니다.
이래서는 안된다는 전제는 다 깔고 있으면서도
상대방이 자신의 기득권을 혹시라도
뺏거나 손상시킬까 두려워하는 것입니다.
그런데 이렇게 해가지고
과연 한나라당이 재집권할 수 있을까요?
정당은 민심과 함께 가야
그 생명을 유지할 수 있습니다.
그런데 민심을 뒤로 하고
자신의 앞날과 기득권을 생각한다면
무엇이 가능하겠습니까?
'이래서는 안된다'는 심각한 인식아래
새로운 모색, 새로운 변화를 일으켜야 합니다.
정당은 행정조직도 아니고
회사도 아닙니다.
내가 기득권을 가지고 있다고 하는 것보다
더 큰 착각은 없습니다.
민주당을 오래 출입하다 한나라당 출입을 하는
모 기자-제게 뼈아픈 한마디를 던졌습니다.
'선배-민주당같으면 벌써 전당대회 치뤘을걸요'라고요-
