장교 戰死率이 사병보다 높은 유일한 군대
이스라엘 군대엔 '돌격'이란 명령어가 없다. 지휘관의 명령은 '아하라이'뿐이다. "나를 따르라"란 뜻이다.

質에선 세계 최강으로 평가되는 이스라엘 군대는 세계에서 가장 평등한 군대로도 꼽힌다. 사병과 장교들이 같은 음식, 같은 식당, 같은 숙소를 이용한다. 상급자에 대한 경례도 거의 생략한다. 사관학교가 없고 士兵 근무자들 중에서 장교를 선발한다.
이스라엘 군대엔 '돌격'이란 명령어가 없다. 지휘관의 명령은 '아하라이'뿐이다. "나를 따르라"란 뜻이다. 이 때문에 장교들의 戰死傷率이 세계에서 가장 높다. 1973년 제4차 중동전쟁 때 이스라엘 군은 2656명이 戰死하였는데 그 가운데 600여 명이 장교였다. 사병들의 戰死率보다 몇 배나 높았다. 장교의 戰死率이 사병보다 높은 군대는 이스라엘뿐이다.
