 거짓의 MBC도 끄자
 

지난 6월10일은 최대규모의 촛불시위대가 서울 도심을 휩쓴 날이다. 나는 그날 오후 서울시청 광장에서 있었던 국민행동본부 주최 집회에서 연설한 뒤 서대문구에 있는 집으로 돌아왔다. 광화문에서 들려오는 함성이 여름 밤 하늘을 울렸다. 다음날 아침 일어나자 마자 나는 '조갑제닷컴'에 이런 글을 올렸다. 
 
 
  6월10일을 기점으로 하여 民心의 大反轉이 일어났다. 7월에 들어서면 'MBC 방송허가 취소 운동'이 번지고 MBC의 시청률은 지상파 4개 채널중 꼴찌로 떨어졌다. 진실의 횃불을 든 '성난 民心'이 칼자루를 잡았다. 칼날을 잡게 된 MBC는 "촛불이여, 우리를 지켜달라"고 매달렸다. 
  수많은 촛불시위자들이 외친 구호는 거의가 거짓이었다. 촛불반대 1인시위를 벌인 李世珍 학생의 피켓-"촛불은 어둠을 밝히는 데 써야 합니다. 자기 집을 태우는 데 써선 안됩니다"-이 진실이다. 진실은 다수결이 아니다. 
  언론을 지켜주는 것은 진실이다. 좌파정권하에서 진실을 포기한 MBC를 지켜준 것은 권력이었다. 그 권력도 사라지고 촛불도 꺼져가는 지금 무엇이 MBC를 지켜낼 것인가? '거짓의 촛불'을 만든 MBC는 그 촛불과 운명을 같이 해야 하는 것이 아닌가?
