“FTA 반대 시위 정치적 의도 있을 것”

“한미 FTA 반대 시위는 민노당, 민주노총 등이 주도하고 있다. 정치적으로 이용될 수 있다.”
국내 최대 농민단체인 한농연(한국농업경영인연합회) 김준봉 회장이 한미 FTA 반대 시위에 대해 부정적인 입장을 밝혔다.
김 회장은 5일 조선일보와 인터뷰에서 “한농연 회원들도 전에는 반대했지만 기습 처리든 어쨌든 통과된 것”이라며 “폐기 주장이 나오는데 국가 간 협정을 맺어놓고 가능한 소리가 아니다”라고 밝혔다.
그는 “이제는 대책이 중요한 시점”이라며 “FTA를 무조건 반대한다는 주장이, 우리끼리만 먹고사는 나라라면 몰라도, 국민적 호응을 얻을 수 있겠나”고 반문했다.
김 회장은 “우리나라는 통상(通商)으로 먹고사는 나라인데 FTA를 안 할 수 없고 국가 경영상 불가피하다는 걸 안다”고 말하고 “다만 농업 부문에서 피해가 가장 크니 대책을 세워주고 최소한 소득 보장을 해줘야 한다”고 강조했다.
그는 “지금 시위는 너무 막무가내고 다른 정치적 의도가 있을 것”이라며 “얼마 전 농수축산연합회 대표 모임에서도 '현 상황에서 정치적으로 휩쓸리는 것을 경계한다'는 의견을 모았다.”고 소개했다.
