천재 과학자 아인슈타인의 뇌 대중에 공개

천재 과학자 알버트 아인슈타인의 뇌 일부가 최초로 대중에게 공개될 것으로 알려졌다.
영국 일간지 데일리메일의 보도에 따르면, 미국 필라델피아의 뮤터 박물관과 역사의학도서관은 아인슈타인 뇌의 '오리지널 슬라이드' 중 45조각을 공개한다고 밝혔다.
아인슈타인의 뇌는 그가 사망한 1955년 부검을 맡은 토마스 하비 박사가 부검을 위해 적출했다. 그러나 그는 뇌 조각을 시신에 돌려놓는 것을 잊었다고한다. 하비는 "아인슈타인의 아들이 내가 그의 뇌 일부를 보관하는 것을 허락했다"고 했지만 현재 아인슈타인의 유족은 그 주장을 부인하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
이후 하비는 아인슈타인의 뇌를 필라델피아 의과대학의 한 신경의학자에게 전달했고, 그가 최근 박물관 측에 기증하면서 공개되는 것.
공개되는 아인슈타인의 뇌 조각의 굵기는 20~50크론으로 머리카락보다 훨씬 가는 것으로 알려졌다.
