또 김정일 사망설… 금융시장 ‘휘청’
장 막판 급속 확산.. 코스피 ↓ 환율 ↑

북한 김정일 사망설에 코스피는 하락하고 환율은 상승하는 등 금융시장이 또 한번 휘청거렸다.
8일 코스피지수는 장 후반 불거진 김정일 사망설에 15.95포인트(0.83%) 내린 1903.15로 거래를 마쳤고, 장 초반 제한적인 하락세를 보이던 원·달러 환율은 전날보다 4.1원(0.37%) 상승한 1121원에 마감됐다.
이날 상승과 하락을 오가던 코스피지수는 장마감 30분을 앞두고 인터넷 메신저를 통해 급속히 확산된 김정일 사망설의 영향으로 하락폭을 키웠다.
유럽 재정위기 변수와 최근 주가 상승으로 눈치보기 장세가 펼쳐지던 코스피지수는 때 아닌 김정일 사망설에 힘 한번 써보지 못하고 낙폭을 확대하며 한때 1900선을 위협받기도 했다.
이와 관련해 보안당국 관계자들은 “김정일 사망과 관련해 확인된 것은 아무것도 없다”며 루머가 사실이 아닐 가능성에 무게를 실었다.
지난해 11월 23일에도 증권가에 이날과 유사한 김정일 사망설이 떠돌면서 금융시장이 큰 혼란을 겪은바 있어 이번에도 ‘옵션만기일이 가까워오자 하락을 노린 세력이 루머를 만들어 냈다’는 시각이 지배적이다.
