 대형마트 “서울우유 인상폭 내려라”
 양측 입장차에 우윳값 인상시기 늦춰질 듯

정부의 권고에도 우윳값 인상을 강행했던 서울우유가 의외의 복병을 만나 인상폭을 낮춰야하는 상황에 봉착했다.

  
20일 유통업계에 따르면 이마트와 홈플러스, 롯데마트 등 대형마트 3사가 흰우유의 리터당 200원 인상안에 대해 이대로는 못팔겠다는 입장을 밝혔다. 200원 인상시 2,350원이 되는 우윳값을 2,300원 이하로 재조정해달라는 게 조건이다. 

  
최근 서울우유가 할인마트에 통보한 우윳값은 리터당 납품가 138원으로, 매장에서는 리터당 200원 올리도록 권고했다. 9.3%인상된 가격으로 그대로 적용되면 1리터 흰우유는 2,350원에 판매해야 하지만 이들 마트가 “2,300원을 넘지 않도록 해달라”며 이같은 인상안을 반려한 것이다. 

  
대형 마트들의 이같은 행동의 배경에는 농협 하나로마트가 서울우유의 권고와 달리 2,300원으로 7%만 인상키로 한 것과 관계가 있다. 

  
가격 경쟁에서 이겨야만 하는 할인마트 특성상 하나로마트보다 비싼 값에 팔 수 없다는 게 이들의 입장이다. 

  
서울우유는 원유가 인상폭인 138원이 최소한의 인상폭인데 이를 더 낮추면 손해를 볼 수 밖에 없는 상황이라고 밝혔다. 

  
결국 마트가 유통마진을 줄이는 방법과 서울우유가 납품가를 낮추는 방법 중 하나가 이뤄져야만 가격 인하가 가능하지만 이들이 같은 생각을 내놓기가 사실상 어렵기 때문에 가격 인상은 상당기간 연기될 것이란 게 관련 업계들의 생각이다.
