전쟁은 이미 시작되었다
左派들과의 싸움에서 지면, 대한민국은 영원히 사라질 것이다

답답하면 링컨을 꺼내어 읽는다. 충무공 이순신을 읽고 싶지만 글이 너무 짧아서 충무공의 난중일기 정도로 이 분이 구국영웅이셨다는 것 이외에는 자세히 아는 바가 없다. 그래서 미국의 구국영웅, 인간노예해방 영웅, 에이브러햄 링컨을 꺼내 읽는다.
1861년 美남북전쟁이 일어났을 때, 북부연방의 대통령 당선자 링컨은, 전쟁은 커녕 군대에 대한 지식이나 경험이 전무했다. 링컨이 젊었을 때, 생계문제를 해결하려고, 일리노이 州 자원군에 입대하여 인디언과의 전투에 따라다닌 적은 있었어도, 그때에도 모기들과 싸웠지, 인디언들과 직접 싸운 적은 없었다고, 링컨은 농담 삼아 말했다.
이와 반대로 남부반란세력의 대통령이자 군통수권자가 된 제퍼슨 데이비스는 美육사(웨스트 포인트)를 우수한 성적으로 졸업했고, 미국이 1846년 멕시코와 싸우던 전쟁에 장교로 참전했었으며, 美남북전쟁이 나기 직전에는 美연방정부의 국방장관을 지낸 군사전문가였다.
전쟁이나 군대에는 일자무식 문외한이었던 링컨과, 전쟁도 했었고 국방장관까지 지냈던 제퍼슨 데이비스가 맞붙어 싸우게 되었다. 그러나 우리가 다 알다시피 4년간 죽기살기로 싸운 美남북전쟁의 결과는 링컨과 美연방군의 완승이었다. 그래서 미국은 진정한 자유의 나라로 다시 태어났고(New Birth of Freedom), 세상 모든 사람들이 건너와서 살기를 바라는 인류의 희망이(The Last Best Hope of Earth) 되었다.
1864년 12월, 링컨은 美연방국회에 보낸 연두교서 메시지에서 이렇게 말했다: “반란세력의 두목은…우리를 속이려 하지 않습니다. 그는 우리에게, 우리가 속았다고 핑계를 댈 구실을 주지 않습니다. 그는 자발적으로 미연방을 다시 받아드릴 수 없습니다. 우리는 자발적으로 미연방을 저들에게 갖다바칠 수 없습니다. 그 사람과 우리들 사이에는 아주 분명하고, 간단하고, 양보할 수없는 문제가 있습니다. 그 문제는 오로지 전쟁으로 판가름이 나야하고, 이 전쟁에서 이겨야만 결판이 나는 그러한 문제입니다. 우리는 양보하면 집니다.”
On careful consideration of all the evidence accessible it seems to me that no attempt at negotiation with the insurgent leader could result in any good. He would accept nothing short of severance of the Union, precisely what we will not and can not give. His declarations to this effect are explicit and oft repeated. He does not attempt to deceive us. He affords us no excuse to deceive ourselves. He can not voluntarily reaccept the Union we can not voluntarily yield it. Between him and us the issue is distinct, simple, and inflexible. It is an issue which can only be tried by war and decided by victory. If we yield, we are beaten if the Southern people fail him, he is beaten. Either way it would be the victory and defeat following war.
충무공께서도 必死則生, 必生則死, 꼭 살려하면 죽을 것이고, 반드시 죽을 각오가 되어있으면 살 것이라고 말씀하셨다. 링컨도 비슷한 말씀을 하셨다. 노예주 세력과의 전쟁은 피할 수 없다. 전쟁을 하면 이겨야 한다. 우리가 이 전쟁에서 지면, 인류의 희망은 사라진다.
박원순, 민주당 민노당과의 싸움이 다시 시작되었다. 김대중에게 속고 지고, 김대중의 養子 노무현에게 속고 지고, 중도실용 사깃꾼 이명박에게 속고 졌지만, 이제 자칭 아름답다는 남한 左派들에게 또 속고 지면, 그 다음에는 김정일 김정은의 세상이 온다. 左派들과의 싸움에서 지면, 대한민국이란 나라는 영원히 사라질 것이다.
이번 달 서울시장 선거는 그만큼 중요한 대한민국 사활의 문제이다.
전쟁은 이미 시작되었다.
