 MBC의 反경상도親전라도 보도 사례
 영포회(영일-포항 공무원 모임)는 이름을 노출시키고, 광주일고는 '특정지역 명문고'라고 덮어 부산고와 경남고가 피해를 보도록 誤導.

 작년 7월3일 MBC 뉴스는 이렇게 보도하였다.
 
 
 지난 5월5일 MBC 뉴스는 이렇게 보도하였다. 
  
 
 MBC는 포항영일 출신 공무원 모임인 '영포회'에 대하여는 이름을 明記하였다. 부산저축은행 비리에 관하여 보도할 때는, 전라도를 '같은 지역', 광주일고를 '특정지역 명문고'라고 이름을 지웠다. 문제의 질로 본다면 광주일고 출신들이 주도한 부산저축은행 비리 사건이 훨씬 크다. 영포회의 비리는 구체적으로 드러난 것이 없다. 
 
 MBC는 실체가 애매한 경상도 사람들의 문제점은 부각시키고 실체가 확실한 전라도 사람들의 문제는 은폐하였다는 비판을 면할 수 없다. MBC는 한 걸음 더 나아가 전라도와 광주일고를 봐주기 위하여 부산지역과 부산의 명문고에 의혹의 시선을 던지도록 장난을 친 것 같다. MBC가, 부산저축은행 사건과 관련하여 '같은 지역' 출신, '특정 지역 명문고 동문' 운운 하였으니 사람들은 거의가 부산의 명문고인 부산고 경남고를 떠올렸을 것이다. 보통사람들은, 부산에서 광주일고 출신들이 비리를 저질렀다고는 도저히 상상할 수 없었을 것이다. MBC는 광주일고를 봐주기 위하여 부산고와 경남고를 욕보인 셈이다. 
 
 MBC가 그럴 의도가 없었다면 '대주주와 감사가 부산이 아닌 다른 지역의 명문고 출신임이 밝혀졌다'고 보도하였어야 했다. 지역차별과 지역비호는 다 나쁘다.
