 부대장이 대북전단 살포 방해
 시민단체 “北 공갈에 겁먹은 부대장 중징계 하라!”

국민행동본부, 자유풍선단, 라이트코리아 등 시민단체 회원 20여 명은 30일 “북의 대남심리전 공갈·협박에 겁먹은 군부대장을 중징계하라”며 강력 항의했다.

 
이들 단체는 이날 오전 국방부 앞에서 기자회견을 열고 “지난 26일 철원 백마고지에서 대북풍선을 날리려고 했으나 군부대가 민통선 내 영농지역 출입을 제한했고, 이에 철원 주민이 대북풍선 날리기를 결사 저지하고 나섰다”며 “대북풍선 날리기 행사가 무산된 것은 육군 제9293부대장의 전단 살포 때문”이라며 이같이 밝혔다.

 
이들은 “북한의 공갈·협박이 먹혀들어 포격 도발 가능성을 현실처럼 주민에게 공포와 불안감을 조성해 북의 대남심리전을 대신해 준 셈”이라며 “주민을 안심시켜야 할 군이 북이 도발해 오면 도망가라는 식의 경고문을 날린 것은 도저히 묵과할 수 없는 비겁한 태도”라고 강력 비난했다.

 
이들은 특히 “군이 북의 공갈에 겁을 먹을 정도로 허약하다면 국민은 누구를 믿고 생업에 종사하겠냐”며 “지역주민에게 공포감을 주어 민간인들끼리 충돌하게 하여 남남갈등을 조성하는 것이 군이 할 일이냐”며 비난의 강도를 높였다.

 
봉태홍 라이트코리아 대표도 “북한을 두려워하는 지휘관이 있는 한 대한민국 국민은 안심하고 잠을 잘 수가 없다”며 “적에 맞서 싸워야 할 군이 주민에게 도망가라는 것이 제대로 된 군대냐”고 지적했다.
