민노당 ‘피의사실 공표’ 손배소송 패소
국가, 조·중·동·문 등 언론사 상대

민주노동당이 불법적인 수사와 피의사실 공표로 피해를 봤다며 국가와 언론사 등을 상대로 낸 손해배상 청구소송에서 패소했다.
서울중앙지법 민사합의25부(조원철 부장판사)는 26일 “민노당의 청구는 이유 없다”며 이같이 판결했다.
민주노동당은 경찰이 교사와 공무원의 정치활동 혐의를 수사하는 과정에서 브리핑 형태로 혐의 사실을 공표해 명예를 훼손했고, 해킹으로 당원 번호를 파악하는 등 불법 행위를 했다고 주장하며 국가와 조선·중앙·동아·문화일보 등을 상대로 5억원을 요구하는 소송을 냈다.
한편, 서울중앙지법 형사합의22부(김우진 부장판사)와 형사합의23부(홍승면 부장판사)는 이날 오후 2시 정치적 중립의무를 어기고 민주노동당에 당비를 내는 등 정치 활동을 한 혐의로 지난해 5월 기소된 교사와 공무원 등 273명의 판결을 선고할 예정이다.
