롯데마트는 미국산 소갈비 할인 행사 중단해야

롯데마트가 미국산 LA 갈비를 절반값에 파는 할인 판매를 개시해 통큰 치킨에 이어 통큰 갈비 거센 논란이 일고 있다.
민주노동당 대변인은 7일 논평에서 지금 구제역 사태로 우리 축산농민들이 피눈물 흘리고 있는 때다.
롯데마트의 난데없는 미국산 소갈비 할인행사는 축산 농민을 두 번 울리고, 두번 죽이는 행태이다.
전국적으로 100만마리에 이르는 소와 돼지들이 살처분되고 우리 축산업의 기반 전체가 흔들리고 있다.
이 상황에서, 기다렸다는 듯이 미국산 소고기 할인행사를 벌이는 것은 상도의를 떠나서 사실상 패륜적 행태다.
더군다나 롯데 오너 신격호 회장의 평생 소원이라는 555m 높이의 제2롯데월드는 공항 근처 주민의 안전과 조종사의 생명을 위협한다는 수년간의 지적에도 착공을 강행했다.
롯데가 이런 식으로 영세상인 죽이기에 더해 농민 죽이기까지 나서는 등 최소한 도리마저 저버리고, 오만하고도 무차별한 자본의 폭력을 계속 행사한다면, 범국민적인 롯데심판 여론이 비등해질 수 밖에 없다.
롯데마트는 축산 농민들 두 번 죽이는 미국산 쇠고기 할인을 즉각 중단하라.
