 姜慶植 전 부총리 좌파정권 때도 경제가 발전한 이유

 시장경제의 중요성을 늘 강조하여 왔던 姜慶植 전 경제부총리가 '국가가 해야 할 일, 하지 말아야 할 일'이란 제목의 회고록을 냈다(김영사, 2만5000원). 그가 경제관료로서 함께 하였던 한국 경제 발전의 모습들이 담겨져 있다. 
 
 체험을 바탕으로 쓴 책이므로 재미 있게 읽힌다. 가는 한국 경제에 가장 큰 기여를 한 사람으로 李, 朴, 全 대통령을 꼽았다. 
 
 
 그는 한국 경제가 민주화를 둘러싼 정치적 소용돌이 속에서도 발전을 지속할 수 있었던 것은 세 대통령이 만든 시장경제의 기반 덕분이라고 주장하였다. 그는 특히 全斗煥 대통령이 공적을 강조하였다.
