오바마 대통령 새해 민주당과 공화당에 협력 촉구

미국의 바락 오바마 대통령은 새해에는 국가발전을 위해 민주당과 공화당이 책임을 공유해야 한다고 말했다.
오바마 대통령은 1일, 주간 라디오 연설에서, 가장 시급한 문제는 경제개선이지만, 국가 경제를 튼튼히 하고, 장래 국가 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 민주당과 공화당 의원들이 협력해야 한다고 촉구했다고 미국 소리 방송이 보도 했다.
오바마 대통령은 또한, 며칠 내로 새 의회가 출범하는 가운데, 좋은 생각을 갖고 있고 이를 추진하려는 의지가 있는 사람이라면, 소속 정당에 관계없이 누구라도 함께 일할 것이라고 말했다.
오바마 대통령은 미국 경제 성장과 일자리 창출, 중산층 생활개선이 올해 자신의 새해 결심이라고 밝혔다.
한편 이날 공화당 대응연설자로 나선 켈리 아요트 뉴햄프셔 상원의원 당선자는 공화당은 정부 지출낭비를 줄이고 사업가들이 일자리를 창출하도록 돕는데 초점을 맞출 것이라고 말했다.
