“해병이 있어 든든하다”

라이트코리아·고엽제전우회 등은 16일 경기 김포에 위치한 해병대 2사단 1연대(2075부대)를 방문, “대한민국 국민은 해병대가 있어 든든합니다”란 격려메시지와 함께 500여만원 상당의 위문품과 위문금을 전달했다.
이들은 “북괴의 연평도 포격 침공시 철모에 불이 붙은 지도 모른 채 적을 향해 응사한 해병이 있어 든든하다”며 “북이 도발해 올 경우 철저히 보복 응징해 달라”고 당부했다.
아울러 정부당국에 “전력의 효율화를 위해 해병대가 육군과 해군의 지원 없이 단독 작전을 펼칠 수 있도록 국군조직을 확대 개편해야 한다”며 “서해를 지키고 있는 해병대의 전력을 1개 사단이상 증강하고 화력도 최신예 첨단 무기로 무장해야 한다”고 주문했다.
특히 “최근 연평 사건 이후 해병대 지원자가 크게 늘어 해병대 병력을 증강하는데 문제가 없을 것”이라며 “국방 예산을 증액하는데 반대할 국민은 없을 것”이라고 강조했다.
