 李대통령 “G20 정상회의 역사적 성과 이뤄”
 환율 문제, 내년까지 가이드라인 마련키로

이명박 대통령이 12일 막을 내린 G20 서울 정상회의에서 “글로벌 경제 불균형 해소를 위해 경상수지 가이드라인을 내년 프랑스 G20 정상회의까지 마련하기로 합의했다”고 밝혔다. 

  
이 대통령은 12일 오후 정상회의 폐막 후 가진 내외신 합동기자회견에서 이 같은 주요 합의 내용을 발표했다. 
  
특히 “할 수 있는 모든 최선을 다했다”며 “IMF 개혁, 환율 문제에서 구체적이고 실질적 성과 거둔 것은 감히 역사적인 성과라고 할 수 있다”고 자평했다.
  
이 대통령은 최대 쟁점인 환율문제와 관련, “일단 환율전쟁에서 벗어났다”면서 “구체적인 가이드라인에 대해서는 내년 상반기까지 구체적인 기준을 만들기로 하고 날짜를 박았다”고 설명했다. 
  
또한 개별국가별 정책약속을 종합적으로 마련한 액션플랜을 ‘서울액션플랜’으로 명명키로 했으며 개발도상국의 빈곤, 개발격차 해소를 위해서는 ‘서울개발컨센서스’로 합의했다. 
  
이 대통령은 “이제 대한민국은 한 세대 만에 원조를 받는 나라에서 원조를 주는 나라가 됐다”면서 “한국 개발정책의 성공과 실패의 경험을 바탕으로 한국형 개발 모델을 OECD 개발원조 회의 등 적절한 기회에 제안하고자 한다”고 정상회의를 끝마치는 소감을 밝혔다.
