 北 사이버테러 부대 양성‘군작전방해·국가기능마비’ 목표

국정원, “北 올 해 9천여건 해킹·G20 정상회의 준비위원회 사이트도 해킹 시도”

  국정원은 북한이 1천명 이상의 사이버 해커부대원들을 양성, 국가 정보 수집과 사회 혼란 조성 등 다양한 사이버 공격 조직을 구축하고 있다고 밝혔다.


국회 정보위원회의 한나라당 황진하·민주당 최재성 간사는 28일 서울 서초구 국가정보원 청사에서 비공개로 진행된 국정감사 직후 브리핑을 통해 이같이 밝혔다.


국정원 측은 이날 업무보고를 통해 북한과 중국 각지에 해킹을 위한 기지가 마련돼 있고 이들 부대원은 전시에 대비, 군사작전 방해와 국가 기능마비를 목표로 활동하고 있는 것으로 예측된다고 밝혔다.


해커부대 등 사이버 공격 조직은 북한 인민무력부 정찰총국 산하에 있으며, 북한 전역은 물론 중국에 여러 곳의 '해킹 기지'를 운영하고 있다고 국정원은 파악했습니다.


또 지난해 7월 발생한 '디도스'(DDoS·분산서비스거부) 공격에 이어 올해는 G20 정상회의 준비위원회 사이트에 대한 해킹 시도에 대해서도 국정원은 북한의 소행일 가능성을 배제하지 않고 있다고 한나라당 황진하 의원은 전했다. 


뿐만 아니라 정부 기관과 한미연합사, 심지어 국회의원 보좌관의 PC에 대한 해킹 사례도 적발됐던 것으로 알려졌다.


국정원에 따르면 지난 2004년 1월 이후 현재까지 집계된 사이버 공격은 모두 4만 8,000여건이며 올해에만 9,200여건이 발생했다.(konas)
