또 시작한 한국언론의 냄비 근성
광우병이 든 쇠고기를 먹지 않아야 살아남는다고 선동한 것처럼 요사이 또 김치를 안 먹으면 죽는 것처럼 요란하다.

광우병은 먹으면 죽는 병에 걸리고, 배추는 안 먹으면 죽는 병이 드나? 매일 톱뉴스로 난리가 난 듯이 소란을 떨고 있으나, 진정시키는 말 한 마디 안하는 원로나 지도층이 없는 나라!
한국 사람은 몸의 크기에 비해 음식을 많이 먹어 한국이 세계에서 소화제가 가장 많이 팔리는 나라라고 한다. 약국을 하는 친구에게 물어보면 명절을 지난 후에나 각종 축제를 마친 후에는 활명수부터 각종 소화제가 가장 많이 팔린다고 했다. TV를 틀기만하면 식도락가들의 좋아하는 찌개가 부글부글 끓는 것을 보면 참 맛있어 보인다. 이처럼 맛을 찾아 전국을 누비는 사람들을 보면 먹는 것을 너무 중요시하는 것 같다.
우리 국민이 배추김치를 하루에 100g 정도 먹는다고 한다. 요사이 배추가 부족하다는 뉴스를 경쟁적으로 하는 기자들이 너무 별난 것 같다. 배추 뉴스가 톱 뉴스다. 냄비근성 거짓말 잘하는 민족의 특성을 또 보이는 것 같다. 일부러 광우병에 걸려 죽으려고 해도 기적같이 어렵고, 천재일우의 기회가 생기지 않으면 광우병에 걸려서 죽기가 매우 어려운데 광우병 사기꾼들이 설쳐 한국이 전복되기 직전까지 갔다. 참 그만하기 다행이었다.
최근에 또 기자들이 배추장사와 무슨 관계가 있는지 모르겠지만 하는 짓들이 너무 요란하다. 마치 광우병이 든 쇠고기를 먹지 않아야 살아남는다고 선동한 것처럼 요사이 또 김치를 안 먹으면 죽는 것처럼 요란하다. 배추가 없으면 무를 먹으면 되고 무가 없으면 다른 종류의 채소를 먹으면 된다. 김치에는 무기질, 칼슘, 인, 비타민 A와 C, 유산균 정도가 들어 있다. 이러한 성분은 다른 채소나 음식에서 얼마든지 섭취할 수 있기 때문에 그렇게 요란하게 선동할 필요가 없지 않은가?
앞으로 김장철까지는 약 2개월 남았다. 지금 심어 놓은 배추만 해도 김장용 배추가 별로 부족하지는 않을 것이다. 어제 배추밭에 갔더니 우리 배추도 아주 잘 자라고 이웃집 배추도 싱싱하게 자라고 있었다. 나는 배추를 50포기를 심었는데 해마다 동생에게 25포기 주고 나머지 25포기만 하면 두 식구가 먹고 남아서 묵은 김치를 친지에게 나누어준다. 해마다 보면 배추가 크게 부족하여 문제가 된 적이 별로 없었다. 이제 기자들은 배추 소동을 좀 여유 있게 보도하기 바란다.
