北고위당국자 수년전 KAL기 폭파 시인

북한 고위당국자가 수년전 북핵 6자회담이 열리는 기간에 우리 당국자에게 북한이 1987년 대한항공(KAL)기 폭파사건을 일으켰음을 '간접시인'한 것으로 3일 알려졌다.
정부 당국자는 이날 기자들과 만나 "3∼4년 전 중국에서 6자회담 때 사석에서 김계관 외무성 부상과 리근 미국국장 등 북한 당국자들과 얘기를 나눴다"며 "당시 리근 국장이 `우리는 KAL기 사건 이후 한번도 테러한 적이 없다'고 말했다"고 전했다.
이 당국자는 "이 발언은 KAL기 폭파사건이 자신들이 한 것이라고 시인한 것 아니냐"며 "당시 내가 `북한이 테러지원국에서 해제되면 KAL기 사건에 대해 사과해라'고 했더니 리 국장은 말실수를 했다고 느꼈는지 가만히 있었다"고 말했다.
북한은 그동안 KAL기 폭파사건을 남한의 자작극이라고 주장하면서 줄곧 범행사실을 부인해왔다.(konas)
