 방송은 누구에게 잘 보이려고 김정일 위원장이라고 하는 거야
 김정은 부자 세습 뉴스를 접하고 아내가 던진 질문

 모든 언론 매체들이 김정은의 후계세습 뉴스를 쏟아내던 며칠 전, 퇴근을 했더니 아내가 볼멘 목소리로 물었다.
 
 "왜 TV뉴스에서는 김정일에게 꼭 위원장이라고 하는 거야? 뉴스에서 김정일 위원장, 고(故) 김일성 주석이라고 하는데, 기분 나빠서 꺼 버렸어."
 "글쎄, 2000년 6-15 선언 후에 우리 언론사 대표들에 북한을 방문해서 북한 언론 관계자들이랑 서로 상대방을 자극하는 보도는 하지 않기로 했는데, 그래서 그런 것 아닌가? 물론 북한 애들은 이명박 정부가 들어선 후 '역도'니 '패당'이니 하면서 욕을 해 대고 있지만..."
 "북한 놈들한테나 김정일이 위원장이지, 우리한테 지가 왜 위원장이야? 도대체 방송에선 누구에게 잘 보이려고 꼬박꼬박 김정일에게 위원장이라고 그러는 거야?"
 
 그러는 아내를 보면서 '참 나하고 코드가 잘 맞는 여자랑 결혼했구나'하는 생각이 들어 흐뭇했다.
 
 그나저나 나도 한국 언론에게 묻고 싶다. 도대체 누구에게 잘 보이려고 김정일에게는 '위원장', 김일성에게는 '주석'이라는 호칭을 꼬박꼬박 붙이는지 말이다. 
 한겨레나 경향, MBC가 그러는 것은 그렇다 쳐도 걸핏하면 북한으로부터 폭파 위협을 받았던 조선일보까지 그러는 이유는 정말 모르겠다. 
 하나 더. 이제 김정은이가 인민군 대장에 노동당 중앙군사위 부위원장이 됐으니, 그 어린 것을 우리 언론은 뭐라고 부를 것인가? 김정은 대장? 아니면 김정은 부위원장?
