국내 아이패드의 미래
현재 미국 내뿐만 아니라 세계적으로 폭발적인 관심과 판매량을 보이고 있는 아이패드 (iPad)가 과연 국내시장에는 언제쯤 정식 출시가 되고 누가 그 주체가 될 것인지가 초두의 관심사이다. 그리고 그 정식 출시 전까지 국내 유저들의 수요는 어떤 형태로 충족이 될지도 흥미로운 이슈이다.
국내 정식 출시는 언제쯤 가능할까?
KT가 성공적인 아이폰 판매의 경험을 바탕으로 현재 가장 유력한 아이패드 (iPad) 정식 출시 업체 0순위 후보로 떠오르고 있지만 일부 매체에서는 아이패드 (iPad)가 전화 통신 기기 형태가 아닌 컴퓨터 기기 형태로 분류된다는 점을 들어 애플의 한국 내 공식 대리점(Authorized Reseller)인 애플 코리아를 통해 아이패드 (iPad)를 출시해야 한다는 주장도 작지만 설득력 있게 나오고 있다. 거기에 국내 이동통신 시장의 선두 자리를 아이폰 하나로 빼앗겨 버린 SKT도 아이패드 (iPad) 병행 판매를 위한 모종의 협의가 있었음을 내비치는 한편 그 후원자인 삼성과도 아이폰, 아이패드 (iPad)에 대항할 만한 그 무엇인가를 준비를 하고 있다. 하지만 현실이 되어버린 애플의 걸작들 앞에서 힘겨워하는 모습이 역력하다.
그 외에도 하이마트 등 몇 개의 동종 업체가 자금력과 점포망을 이용해 애플 모시기에 나설 가능성도 서서히 높아지고 있다.
