 “북한 서해서 미사일 발사 가능성 주시”
 美 크롤리 차관보 “항행금지구역 선포 미사일 발사로 이어진 전례있다”


미 국무부 크롤리 차관보(사진)는 북한이 현재 처한 상황은 한국이나 미국의 탓이 아니라 북한의 도발적인 행동 때문이라면서 항행금지구역 선포가 미사일 발사로 이어진 전례가 있다고 말한 사실을 자유아시아방송(RFA)이 25일 보도했다. 

RFA는 또 "한국 정부 소식통은 25일 북한이 남포 이북지역 해상에 19일부터 27일까지 항행금지구역을 선포한 것에 대해 '240MM 방사포 등 일상적 훈련일 수도 있으나 미사일 발사 가능성도 예의주시하고 있다'는 발언도 전했다. 

RFA는 "미 국무부의 필립 크롤리 공보담당 차관보는 25일 정례브리핑에서 한국 전쟁 발발 60주년을 맞아 한국과 미국은 어느 때보다도 강력한 동맹관계를 유지하고 있다"며 "북한도 국제사회와 건설적인 관계를 위해 노력할 것을 촉구했다"고 보도했다. 

그러면서 "크롤리 차관보는 북한이 2005년 9.19 공동성명 이행을 위한 구체적 조치를 취하고, 유엔 안전보장이사회 결의를 포함한 국제법을 준수해 이웃 국가들과 관계를 개선하는 조치를 취할 것을 촉구하며 미사일 발사는 이에 역행하는 행동이라고 강조했다"고 자유아시아방송은 전했다. 

한편 한국 국방당국은 이날 북한이 핵탄두를 소형, 경량화하는 기술을 2년 내에 보유할 수 있을 것이라는 분석을 내놓았으며 미 전문가들도 북한이 2차 핵실험이후 핵탄두를 중거리 미사일에 장착하려는 시도를 계속하고 있다고 밝혔다.
