“김상곤 교육감은 종북좌파세력”

경기도교육감을 지낸 김진춘 경기도의회 비례의원 당선자가, 김상곤 현 경기교육감에 대해 “종북좌파”라고 말한 것으로 뒤늦게 알려지면서 파장이 일고 있다.
언론보도에 따르면 김 당선자는 지난 12일 안양 경인교대 경기캠퍼스에서 열린 동문체육대회에 참석, 개회식 축사를 하는 과정에서 “김상곤 교육감은 친북좌파가 아니라 종북좌파세력”이라고 말했다.
그는 특히 “김 교육감은 교육감 재직전 사이버노동대학 총장이었는데 인사말에서 ‘노동자가 천국인 세상을 만들어 혁명역군을 만들겠다’고 말했었다”며 “대한민국 정체성을 부정하는 사람인데 도민들이 그것도 모르고 뽑았다”고 했다.
또 “김 교육감이 시국선언 교사에 대한 징계도 안하는 등 집행기관으로서의 역할보다는 법률 해석가 역할을 하고 있다”고 비판하기도 했다.
이날 행사에는 경인교대 동문 등 1천200여명이 참석했는데, 일부 참석자들은 김 당선자의 이같은 말에 박수를 치며 환호했다고 한다.
김 당선자는 이후 자신의 발언내용이 알려지자 “도의원 신분의 정치인 입장에서 하지 못할 소리를 한 것은 아니다”라며 “선거 당시에도 각종 언론에서 보도했듯이 발언 내용이 틀리지 않다고 생각한다”고 밝혔다.
