 한·미·중 北급변사태 공동논의
 내달 중순 중국에서 회의

한국, 미국, 중국 3개국이 내달 중국에서 북한 정권의 붕괴 등 급변사태를 공동 논의키로 한 것으로 알려졌다.

  
주요 언론보도들에 따르면 한국 국방연구원 및 해양전략연구소, 미국 태평양사령부, 중국 현대국제관계연구원 관계자들은 다음 달 중순 중국에서 회의를 갖기로 했다. 

  
중국이 그동안 북한의 체제붕괴 등 급변사태를 전제로 한 회의에는 참석하지 않았다는 점에서 이례적인 일로 받아들여지고 있다.

  
이번 회담에서는 무엇보다 북한의 현 상황에 대한 정보를 공유하면서 급변사태의 발생 가능성에 대한 진단, 나아가 급변사태 발생 시 3국 간 공조방안 등이 논의될 예정이다.

  
주펑(朱鋒) 베이징대 국제관계학원 교수는 “북한에서 급변사태가 났을 때 인민해방군이 단독 진입하는 것은 중국으로서도 부담이 돼 국제평화유지군 운영이나 대량 탈북 시 난민촌 건설 등도 논의 주제가 될 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.

  
한편 일각에선 ‘미국이 급변사태 시 북한 내 핵안전 확보 등을 구실로 중국군이 단독으로 개입하는 것을 막기 위해 이 같은 공동 논의를 추진하는 것’이라고 분석이 제기되고 있다.
