 李대통령 “국가 정책 적당한 타협 안돼”
 발언 놓고 해석 분분..‘백년대계 정책=세종시’(?)

이명박 대통령은 17일 “국가의 백년대계를 위한 정책에는 적당한 타협이 있어서는 안 된다”고 말했다.

  
이 대통령은 이날 과천 중앙공무원교육원에서 열린 장&#8228;차관 워크숍에서 “정권에는 도움이 안 될지라도 국가에 도움이 된다면, 한때 오해를 받는 한이 있더라도 그것을 택해야 한다”고 밝혔다고 박선규 청와대 대변인이 18일 전했다.

  
이번 발언은 이 대통령이 최근 정치권에서 원안 수정 여부를 놓고 논란을 빚고 있는 세종시 문제를 겨냥한 것이 아니냐는 관측이 나오고 있지만 청와대측은 특정한 정책을 놓고 발언한 것은 아니라고 밝혔다. 

  
이 대통령은 또 “지지도가 오르니 조심해야 한다는 이야기가 많지만 그렇다고 움츠러들어 눈치를 볼 필요는 없다”면서 “지지도가 높을 때나 낮을 때나 일관된 자세로 일하는 것이 중요하고 그렇게 해야 일류국가를 위한 기초를 만들 수 있다”고 말했다. 

  
아울러 내년 G20 정상회의 한국 개최와 관련해 “회의를 성공적으로 치르는 것만으로는 부족하다”면서 “지금부터 모든 것이 변해야만 G20 행사 이후 우리나라에 긍정적인 변화가 이어지고 국격도 달라질 수 있다”고 말했다.

  
한편 지난달 ‘9&#8228;3 개각’ 이후 이명박 정부 국정철학을 공유하자는 취지에서 마련된 이날 워크숍에는 정운찬 국무총리와 정정길 대통령실장을 비롯한 장&#8228;차관과 청와대 수석비서관 등이 참석했다.
