국회법제실제주도 지역현안 입법지원 토론회 개최

국회사무처(사무총장 김교흥) 법제실은 오는 15일 오후 2시 제주도 경제통상진흥원에서 오영훈 의원(더
불어민주당, 제주시을)과 공동으로 세계자연유산 제주의 보전 방안을 모색하는 지역현안 입법지원 토론회
를 개최한다.
이번 토론회는 주제 발표와 토론을 통해 제주국립공원 지정 추진 현황과 과제, 세계자연유산 관람료 부과
와 징수 및 재원 활용방안 등을 모색할 예정이다.
오영훈 의원은 이번 토론회와 관련하여 “도는 세계생물권보전지역 지정, 세계자연유산 등재, 세계지질공
원 인증으로 유네스코 3관왕을 달성했다”라고 하면서, “전 세계에서 아름다운 섬으로 알려지고 있는 도가
최근 환경적 피해 때문에 몸살을 앓고 있으므로 체계적인 보전과 관리 및 활용방안이 마련되어야 한다”라
고 말했다. 이번 토론회는 오영훈 의원이 지적한 문제를 중심으로 세계자연유산 제주를 보전할 수 있는 입
법적·정책적 방안이 논의될 것으로 기대된다.
오영훈 의원과 국회 법제실은 토론회를 통해 제시되는 입법의견을 수렴하여 관련 법률의 제·개정 입안에
적극 활용할 계획이다.
