 美 국무부 “北核 지원 세력 계속 겨냥할 것”
 

캐티나 애덤스 東亞太 대변인 "북한이 방향을 바꿔 진지한 협상에 복귀하도록 압박 계속할 것"

미국 국무부는 재무부의 추가 대북 제재와 관련해, 북한 핵과 미사일 개발을 지원하는 세력을 계속 겨냥
하고 대북 압박 또한 늦추지 않을 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 백성원 기자가 보도합니다. 
  
  미국은 북한의 불법적인 핵과 탄도미사일, 그리고 확산 프로그램을 지원하고 여기에 자금을 대는 개인
과 단체를 계속 표적으로 삼을 것이라고 국무부가 밝혔습니다. 
  
  [녹취: 캐티나 애덤스 대변인] “.The United States will continue to target individuals and entities 
responsible for financing and supporting North Korea’s unlawful nuclear, ballistic missile, and 
proliferation programs, and will continue to pressure North Korea to change course and return to 
serious negotiations.”
  
  캐티나 애덤스 국무부 동아시아태평양 담당 대변인은 2일 ‘VOA’와의 전화통화에서 전날 발표된 미 재
무부의 대북 독자제재와 관련해, 북한이 방향을 바꿔 진지한 협상에 복귀하도록 압박을 계속할 것이라
면서 이렇게 말했습니다. 
  
  앞서 재무부 해외자산통제국(OFAC)은 북한과 거래한 9개 기관과 3명의 개인을 대북 제재 명단에 추
가하면서, 북한 군대와 핵, 대량살상무기 프로그램과 함께, 노동자와 석탄, 광물 그리고 해외 금융 활동
을 통한 북한의 수익을 겨냥한 것이라고 설명했습니다. 
  
  애덤스 대변인은 대북 제재 대상에 러시아 국적자와 기업이 처음으로 포함된 것과 관련해, 북한이 안
전하고 경제적으로 번영하는 미래로 향할 수 있는 유일한 길은 세계 평화와 안보를 위협하는 불법 프로
그램을 포기하는 것뿐이라는 사실을 전세계 동맹, 파트너들과 함께 보여줄 것이라며 러시아도 여기 동
참하길 기대한다고 말했습니다.

includes Russia - we will show the DPRK that the only path to a secure, economically-
prosperous future is to abandon its unlawful programs that endanger international peace and 
security.
  
  애덤스 대변인은 그러나 세르게이 랴브코프 러시아 외무차관이 이번 제재에 대한 보복 조치를 경고한 
데 대한 논평 요청에, 러시아의 의도를 추측하지 않겠다며 러시아 당국에 문의하라고 말했습니다.
