G7 정상들 北 핵 포기 하지 않으면 제재 강화할 것
지난 27일 G7 정상회의 폐막 후 공동 성명 발표..."北 핵과 미사일은 국제사회가 당면한 최우선 과제"

주요 7개국 G7 정상들은 북한이 핵을 포기하지 않으면 제재를 강화할 것이라는 입장을 밝혔다.
28일 미국의 소리(VOA) 방송은 지난 27일 이탈리아 타오르미나에서 G7 정상회의를 폐막하며 발표한 공
동 성명을 인용, 이 같은 내용을 보도했다.
공동 성명에는 “북한의 핵과 미사일 프로그램은 국제사회가 당면한 최우선 과제”라며 “북한은 반복적이
고 지속적으로 국제법을 위반하며 국제사회의 평화와 안정에 새로운 수준의 심각한 위협을 가하고 있
다”고 지적했다.
특히, 성명은 “북한은 유엔 안전보장이사회의 모든 관련 결의안을 즉각 전면적으로 준수하고, 모든 핵과
대륙간 탄도 미사일을 완전히 폐기하라”고 촉구했다.
성명은 이어 “북한의 핵실험과 미사일 발사를 가장 강력한 용어로 규탄한다”며 “북한이 핵과 미사일 프
로그램을 포기하지 않으면 국제사회는 제재를 강화할 준비가 돼 있다”고 밝혔다.
또한, 북한의 납치 문제 등을 포함한 인권 문제에 대해서도 지적했다. 성명은 “북한은 납치 문제의 즉각
적 해결을 포함한 인권에 대한 우려도 해소해야 한다”고 밝혔다.(Konas)
