 MB 삶의 긍정적 가치 전파 되도록
 7대 종교 지도자 청와대 초청 오찬 간담회

이명박 대통령은 4일 7대 종단 대표들을 청와대로 초청해 오찬 간담회를 갖고 최근의 북한의 핵실험 등 대북문제, 국민화합, 경제위기 극복 등 국가적 현안에 대한 종교계 원로들의 제언을 청취했다.

이 자리에는 엄신형 한국기독교총연합회 대표회장(개신교), 운산 태고종 총무원장(불교), 김희중 주교(천주교), 최근덕 성균관장(유교), 이성택 교정원장(원불교), 김동환 교령(천도교), 한양원 민족종교협의회장이 참석했다. 이 대통령은 "사회적으로 삶의 긍정적 가치들이 중요시 되고 전파 될 수 있도록 종교 지도자들이 역할해 달라"고 당부한 것으로 알려졌다.

한편 지관 조계종 총무원장이 불참한 것과 관련, 맹형규 정무수석은 "지관 스님이 불참한 것은 정부에 대한 불만이나 그런 것은 아닌 것으로 안다"고 말했다. 조계종 측은 "지관 스님이 이미 오래 전 마련된 선약이 있어 부득이 참석하지 못했다"고 설명했다.
