AI 피해농가에 보상금 1687억원 추가 지급

고병원성 조류 인플루엔자(AI) 피해농가의 경영안정을 위해 정부가 살처분 보상금 1687억원을 설 명절
전 지급한다.
기획재정부는 17일 국무회의서 AI 확산에 따른 가축 등에 대한 살처분 보상금 지원을 위한 목적예비비
1687억원 지출안을 심의·의결했다.
지난해 11월 17일 전남 해남과 충북 음성에서 최초 발생한 AI로 인해 3000만수 이상의 닭과 오리가 살
처분되는 등 농가 피해가 확산되고 있다.
이와 관련해 정부는 AI 피해농가에 총 2373억원의 살처분 보상금을 지원할 계획이며 이중 지난 3일까
지 686억원이 지원됐고, 아직 보상금을 지급받지 못한 농가를 위해 이날 국무회의에서 목적예비비
1687억원을 추가 지원키로 결정했다.
이번 예비비 통과 후 신속하게 보상 절차를 진행해 설 명절 전 최대한 피해농가에 보상금이 지급되도록
할 예정이며, 보상금 평가 이전이라도 추정액의 50%를 선지급할 방침이다.
이를 통해 피해농가의 생계유지 및 경영안정에 기여하고 농가의 심적·정신적 안정에도 도움을 줄 수
있을 것으로 기대했다.
이밖에도 정부는 AI 발생으로 인한 피해구제를 위해 생계안정자금, 소득안정자금 등 적극적인 지원대
책을 추진 중이다.
