 靑 “북 핵실험 세계평화에 도전”
 “용납할 수 없는 도발행위”로 규정


정부는 25일 북한의 2차 핵실험에 대한 공식 성명을 발표했다. 이 성명을 통해 북한의 부적절한 행동에 대한 강한 경고의 메시지를 전달했다. 

이동관 청와대 대변인은 25일 성명을 통해 “북한은 2009년 5월 25일 우리 정부와 국제사회의 거듭된 경고를 무시하고 2차 핵실험을 실시했다고 발표했다”고 말했다. 

이어 이 대변인은 “이번 2차 핵실험은 한반도뿐 아니라 동북아와 세계평화에 심각한 위협이고 국제 비확산체제에 대한 중대한 도전”이라고 입장을 전했다. 

또 그는 정부성명을 통해 “이는 비핵화 공동선언과 6자회담 합의 의무를 저버리는 것이며 추가 핵실험을 금지한 유엔 안보리 결의 1718호에 대한 명백한 위반으로 결코 용납할 수 없는 도발행위”라고 강하게 지적했다. 

이어, 이 대변인은 “정부는 앞으로 6자회담 참가국인 미국, 일본, 중국, 러시아 및 국제사회와 긴밀히 협력해 유엔 안전보장이사회가 적절한 조치를 취하도록 할 것”이라고 밝혔다. 

마지막으로 그는 “정부는 북한이 핵무기와 관련한 모든 계획을 폐기하고 즉각 NPT(핵확산금지조약) 체제에 복귀해 국제사회의 책임 있는 일원으로 국제규범을 성실히 이행할 것을 촉구 한다”고 말했다. 

한편, 러시아 국방부는 북한의 2차 핵실험의 폭발력이 20킬로톤에 이른다고 발표했다. 여기서 1kt는 TNT 폭약 1천t의 폭발력을 가진 것으로, 이는 북한의 1차 핵실험에 비해 30배 나 위력이 증가한 것이다.
