[美 트럼프 시대]

朴대통령 "한미 동맹 굳건" 축전


박근혜 대통령은 9일 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령 당선인에게 축전(祝電)을 보냈다. 박 대통령은 "우리 정부는 트럼프 후보가 다양한 분야에서 탁월한 성과를 거둔 경험과 리더십에 대한 국민의 지지를 바탕으로 당선된 것을 진심으로 축하한다"며 "앞으로 북한 문제 등 현안 해결과 한·미 동맹 발전을 위해 양국 공조를 더욱 굳건히 해 나가기를 기대한다"고 했다. 며칠 뒤엔 박 대통령이 트럼프 당선인과 직접 통화할 전망이다.

정부는 이날 미 대선 윤곽이 확실해지자 긴박하게 움직였다. 청와대 안전보장회의(NSC) 상임위원회가 오후 4시 반 소집돼 국내 외교·안보 분야에 끼칠 영향을 분석하고 대책을 논의했다. 박 대통령은 회의 결과를 보고받고 "북핵·미사일 위협이 날로 고조되는 엄중한 상황을 감안해 인수위 단계부터 미국 차기 행정부와의 협력 관계를 조기에 구축하라"고 지시했다. 이어 황교안 국무총리 주재로 6시 경제·안보 분야 영향을 종합 평가하기 위한 관계 장관 회의가 개최됐다. 모두 이날 예정에 없던 것으로 '트럼프 당선 긴급 대책회의'인 셈이었다.

이에 앞서 국회에선 미 대선 관련 긴급 당정(黨政) 회의가 열렸다. 정부는 '한국에 대한 방위비 분담 압력이 세지고, 한·미 자유무역협정(FTA) 재협상 요구도 있을 수 있다'고 보고한 것으로 전해졌다.
