미국러시아 시리아 협상 재개

미국과 러시아가 15일 시리아 내전 사태와 관련한 휴전 협상을 재개한다.

VOA 방송은 미국의 존 케리 국무장관과 러시아의 세르게이 라브로프 외교장관은 이날 스위스 로잔에서 만나 북부 도시 알레포에 대한 공습 중단, 알레포 비행금지 구역 설정 등 시리아 사태 해결 방안을 논의했다고 보도했다.
미국과 러시아 외교수장이 만나는 것은 최근 양국이 시리아 정전 협상 중단을 선언한 이후 처음이다. 앞서 미국은 알레포에 대한 폭격이 계속되자 러시아와의 대화를 중단했다.
시리아 정부군이 알레포 탈환 작전에 나서면서 보급로를 완전히 차단해 알레포에서는 주민 수십만여 명이 식량, 생필품 부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있다. 시리아 반군은 현재 알레포 동부를 장악하고 있고 시리아 정부군이 나머지 지역을 점령하고 있다.
터키과 사우디아라비아, 카타르, 이란 외무장관과 유엔 시리아 특사도 이날 협상에 참석했다.
시리아 인권관측소는 지난 14일 오전에도 알레포지역에 수 십 차례의 폭격이 발생했다고 밝혔다.
