美 연방항공청 갤럭시노트7 기내 사용 금지

미국 항공당국이 배터리 폭발 문제로 전량 리콜이 결정된 삼성전자의 갤럭시노트7을 기내에서 사용하지 말아 달라고 권고했다.
미국 연방항공청(FAA)은 8일(현지시각) 성명을 내고 “최근 벌어진 사고와 삼성전자가 갤럭시노트7에 대해 제기한 우려에 비추어 FAA는 승객들이 기내에서 갤럭시노트7을 켜거나 충전하지 말고, 수하물로도 부치지 말 것을 강하게 권고한다”고 밝혔다.
앞서 시드니모닝헤럴드는 호주 콴타스항공도 갤럭시노트7의 배터리에서 불이 날 수 있어 기내 충전을 금지했다고 보도했다.
삼성전자는 지난 2일 배터리 결함을 확인하고 갤럭시노트7을 전량 리콜하기로 결정했다. 지금까지 30여건의 배터리 발화 사고가 알려졌다.
한편 국토교통부는 8일 갤럭시노트7 에 대해 “기내반입 금지나 충전금지, 전원을 끄도록 하는 방안 등의 조처를 할 계획이 없다”고 밝혔다.
