 2016 리우 이영표 “침대축구 선제골 허용 안하면 됐을 일” 일침

KBS 이영표 해설위원이 한국 온두라스 전 중계 도중 온두라스의 침대축구에 한국 선수들이 원인을 제공했다며 일침을 가했다. 

신태용 감독이 이끄는 한국은 14일 오전 7시(이하 한국시각) 브라질 벨루오리존치 미네이랑 스타디움에서 열린 온두라스와의 2016 리우 올림픽 남자 축구 8강전에서 0-1로 패하며 4강 진출이 좌절됐다.  

이날 한국은 경기 내내 주도권을 잡고 우세한 경기를 치르고도 온두라스의 역습에 일격을 당했다. 후반 14분 수비진이 채 정비되지 않은 사이 골문 정면에서 패스를 받은 알베스 엘리스가 한국 골문을 열었고 이는 이날 경기 결승골이 됐다. 


선제골을 터트린 후 온두라스는 이른 바 ‘침대축구’로 일관했다. 별 것 아닌 충돌에도 그라운드에 나뒹굴기 일쑤였고 볼 처리 역시 지연시키며 시간을 끌었다. 주심이 경고를 주기도 했지만 경기 끝까지 침대축구는 계속됐다. 


온두라스의 침대축구가 이어지자 이영표 위원은 “침대축구를 뭐라고 할 수는 없다. 약팀이 강팀을 이기기 위한 거의 유일한 방법이다. 한국이 선제골을 내주지 않았다면 상대가 침대축구를 할 수 없었을 것이다. 한국 선수들에게도 책임이 있다”고 질책했다.

한편, 한국은 온두라스에게 아쉽게 패하면서 2연속 메달의 꿈을 접어야 하게 됐다.
