 이한구 상향식 비례 공천 물리적으로 불가능
 언론 향해 "제발 가만히 좀 두면 좋겠다" 분통

이한구 새누리당 공천관리위원장은 8일 비례대표 후보자를 상향식으로 선출해야 한다는 지도부의 의견에 "물리적으로 불가능한 상황"이라고 밝혔다.

이 위원장은 이날 오전 서울 여의도 당사에서 가진 브리핑에서 "상향식으로 선정하는 것에는 여러 방식이 있는데 솔직히 얘기해서 시간이 없다"며 이같이 말했다.

이 위원장은 "사실은 비례도 멋있게 선출하고 싶다"면서도 "서류 심사만 하기에도 벅차다. 겨우겨우 숨 가쁘게 움직이고 있으니 제발 좀 가만히 좀 두면 좋겠다"고 불만을 표출했다.

이어 "우리가 추구하는 비례대표 의원의 희망사항이라든지 추구하는 형태가 있다"며 "오늘 아마 공고가 나갈 것"이라고 예고했다.

그는 "비례대표도 상향식으로 결정한다는 것은 당헌에 없다"며 "어떻게 하면 비례대표 후보자도 잘 선정할 수 있을까 논의하는 과정에서 나온 좋은 얘기라고 생각한다. (상향식 공천을) 했으면 좋겠는데 도저히 불가능하다"고 거듭 강조했다.

2차 공천발표의 시기를 묻는 질문에는 "나도 모른다. 준비가 되면 하는 거고 안 되면 못 하는 것"이라고 짤막하게 답했다.

이 위원장은 야당 후보에 대한 이른바 '킬러 공천'에 대한 의지도 피력했다. 그는 "아스팔트에서 데모하던 기분으로 의원생활하던 사람들은 절대 20대 국회에 들어가서는 안 된다"며 "킬러를 투입해서 국민들에게 과연 이런 사람을 놔두시겠느냐고 호소하려는 것"이라고 밝혔다.[데일리안 = 문대현 기자]
