 청와대 메르스 확산추세 뒤늦은 긴급대책반 편성
 정책조정·고용복지수석 반장 24시 가동 늦장대응 지적 비난여론 불가피

메르스(중동호흡기증후군) 사태가 확산추세를 보이는 가운데 청와대가 2일 긴급대책반을 편성했다.

 
청와대는 이날 현정택 정책조정수석 주재로 메르스 관련 긴급점검회의를 열고 상황이 안정될 때 까지 24시 비상근무체계를 유지키로 했다. 

 
그러나 청와대의 이 같은 행보에 늦장대응 지적과 함께 비난여론이 불가피해질 것으로 보인다.

 
청와대의 메르스 대책회의 소집은 공식 발병 2주 만의 일이기 때문이다. 이미 2명의 사망자가 발생한데다 3차 감염까지 발발한 가운데 타이밍을 놓친 사후약방문 격 대응성격이 짙은 탓이다.

 
긴급대책반은 현 정책조정수석과 최원영 고용복지수석이 반장을 맡는다. 또 기획, 재난안전, 보건복지, 행정자치, 경제금융, 법무, 치안, 외교, 문화체육, 홍보기획, 위기관리비서관 등이 참여한다.

 
대책반은 보건복지부, 국민안전처 등 관련부처의 상황대책반 채널을 가동해 메르스 관련 상황관리에 들어간다.

 
또 일일 상황점검회의를 열어 정부의 대응상황과 추가확산 방지대책, 상황단계별 부처 협조사항 및 보완대책 등을 논의해 나갈 예정이다.
