 세월호 참사 국민대책회의’의 고문단에는 15명의 左派 활동가들이 참여하고 있다
 때가 되면 등장하는 원탁회의(?)

20일  확인결과 이들 가운데 김상근(목사) 前 평통부의장, 김윤수 前 국립현대미술관장, 박재승 前 대한변협 회장, 이선종 원불교 중앙중도훈련원장, 청화(승려) 실천불교전국승가회 상임고문, 함세웅(신부) 천주교정의구현사제단 고문, 오종렬 한국진보연대 총회의장, 이창복 통일맞이 이사장 등 8명이 지난 19대 총선을 앞두고 조직된 ‘희망2013·승리2012 원탁회의(원탁회의)’ 참여 활동가들로 확인됐다.

이들 가운데 김상근 前 평통부의장과 함세웅 천주교정의구협사제단 고문은 헌법재판소에 의해 통진당이 해산된 후 원탁회의 불참 의사를 밝혔던 인물들이다. 그러나 이들은 '세월호 참사 국민대책회의'를 통해 다시금 원탁회의 참여자들과 손을 잡았다.    

통진당은 19대 총선에서 원탁회의를 발판 삼아 민주통합당으로부터 유력 지역의 단일후보직을 따냈고, 총선을 거쳐 國會로 진출(13명의 의원 배출)했다. 원탁회의는 이후 18대 대선 政局(정국)에서 민주통합당의 문재인 대선후보와 안철수(무소속)의 단일화 논의에도 영향을 끼쳤다.
