안심전환대출 마감예상 밖 ‘인기 시들’
1차 판매 절반 수준 그쳐..선정방식 변경 ‘원인’

브레이크뉴스 이지완 기자= ‘광풍’을 불러 일으킨 안심전환대출이 2차 마감을 완료한 가운데, 예상 밖의 저조한 실적으로 이목이 쏠리고 있다.
‘안심전환대출’은 매월 이자만 지불하던 변동금리 방식의 대출 상품을 원금과 이자를 동시에 갚는 ‘고정금리’ 방식으로 전환해주는 상품으로, 일시 상환의 부담을 대폭 줄여주는 것이 특징이다.
3일 금융업계에 따르면 ‘과열양상’을 보이며 지난달 30일 재판매를 시작한 2차 안심전환대출이 판매 마감일인 오늘까지 한도액 20조원의 절반 수준을 웃도는 12~13조원 정도에 그칠 것으로 전망된다.
금융위원회(이하 금융위)의 지난 2일 발표에 따르면 2차 안심전환대출 판매액이 2일 기준 6조662억원으로 집계됐으며, 접수 건수는 총 6만8762건에 그쳐 예상보다 저조했다.
이는 안심전환대출 2차 출시 이후 하루 평균 2조원 꼴로 판매된 수준으로, 지난 27일 1차 대출 당시 하루 평균 7조원 남짓 판매됐던 것과 비교해 확연한 차이를 보였다.
일각에서는 이번 안심전환대출이 1차 대출에 비해 수요가 급감한 것은 판매 선정 방식의 변화 때문이라고 해석했다.
실제, 1차 안심전환대출이 선착순 모집이었던 반면, 2차 대출은 일주일간 고객을 모집한 뒤 저가 주택 순으로 판매하는 방식으로 변경됐다.
업계 한 관계자는 “이번 2차 안심전환대출이 예상과 달리 12~13조원을 넘지 못할 것으로 전망된다”며 “판매 방식 변경에 따라 고객들의 수요가 급감한 만큼 이번에 신청한 고객들은 조건이 충족할 경우 모두 대출을 받을 수 있을 것으로 보인다”고 말했다.
한편, 안심전환대출은 빚에 대한 금융소비자들의 인식 전환과 채무구조 완화 등으로 긍정적인 평가와, 정작 절실한 제2금융권 대상자들의 배제했다는 비난도 동시에 받고 있다.
