 북에 쌀·비료 준다고 해결안돼
 MB "긍정평가 위한 단기처방 옳지 않다"


"북 진정으로 돕고자하는 것이 정부정책"  
 
 
이명박 대통령은 12일 북한 미사일 도발 움직임과 관련해 "쌀과 비료만 준다고 해서 해결될 문제가 아니다"며 원칙적 입장을 밝혔다.

이 대통령은 이날 청와대에서 첫 국민원로회의를 갖고 "북한을 진정으로 돕고자 하는 것이 현 정부의 정책"이라며 "그 부분을 많이 고민하고 있다"고 말했다고 이동관 청와대 대변인이 전했다.

이 대통령은 "남북관계를 잘 해나가고 있다는 이야기를 듣기 위해 단기적 처방을 내놓는 것은 옳지 않다"고 원칙에 입각한 일관된 대북정책을 고수할 뜻을 분명히 했다. 이 대통령은 이어 "민족의 미래가 걸린 문제"라며 "남북이 대등한 관계에서 서로 존중하면서 대화할 필요성을 느낀다"고 말했다.
