인천AG대한민국 종합2위 목표달성
대한민국 종합2위 확정…1위 중국, 3위 일본

【뉴데일리 스포츠】대한민국이 인천 아시안게임에서 당초 목표였던 종합 2위를 사실상 확정했다.
대한민국은 경기 일정을 모두 마친 3일, 금메달 77개, 은메달 71개, 동메달 80개로 종합 2위를 유지했다.
이번 인천 아시안게임에서 1위를 차지한 국가는 중국으로 금메달 149개, 은메달 107개, 동메달 81개를 획득했다. 2020년 도쿄 올림픽을 앞두고 있는 일본은 금메달 46개, 은메달 72개, 동메달 76개로 3위를 차지했다.
인천 아시안게임은 4일 폐막한다. 앞으로 나올 금메달은 7개로 일본이 7개의 금메달을 추가한다고 해도 종합2위를 차지할 순 없다. 이로써 대한민국은 향후 일정에 관계없이 사실상 종합 2위를 확정했다.
대한민국은 3일 총 10개(금메달 3개·은메달 5개·동메달 2개)의 메달을 목에 걸었다. 복싱 남자 -49kg급에 출전한 신종훈은 결승에서 카자흐스탄의 비르잔 자크포포에 심판 전원일치 판정승(3-0)을 거두며 금메달을 목에 걸었다. 대한민국 농구 대표팀은 이란과의 결승전에서 79대77로 승리를 거두며 12년 만에 금메달을 거머쥐었다.
인천 아시안게임은 4일 오후 6시 인천아시아드 주경기장에서 열리는 폐막식을 끝으로 16일간의 여정을 마무리한다.
