MBC 조능희 PD 정직 4개월 추가 징계 확정
반성 않는 조능희 PD “법적 대응 하겠다”
MBC가 회사 사규를 위반했다는 이유로 인사위원회에 회부된 조능희 PD에 대해 정직 4개월의 징계를 내렸다고 24일 밝혔다.
MBC는 징계 이유에 대해 "조 PD가 이달 초 언론과의 인터뷰에서 회사 명예를 실추하고 인터뷰 등을 사전 신고하도록 한 사규를 위반했다"고 설명했다.
지난 7일 MBC는 조 PD에게 2008년 방송된 PD수첩 '광우병'편을 방송하면서 일부 허위사실을 보도해 시청자들에게 혼란을 불러 일으켰다는 이유로 정직 1개월의 징계를 내린 바 있다.
이에 조 PD는 타 언론과의 인터뷰를 통해 자신의 심경을 밝히면서 징계를 내린 MBC 사측에 대한 불만을 나타냈다.
전국언론노조 MBC 본부는 "이번 징계는 당시 PD수첩 제작진에 대한 회사의 집요한 탄압"이라고 주장하며 "징계 자체가 근거 없을 뿐만 아니라 정도도 지나치다. 다음 주 최근의 징계 두 건 모두에 대해 무효를 청구하는 법적 절차를 밝을 것"이라고 반발했다.
