이동관4대강 정쟁족쇄 풀어주자
"자꾸 정치화시켜 문제, 놔두면 후대에 죄짓는것"
이동관 청와대 대변인은 16일 정부의 4대 강 정비사업 논란과 관련, "4대 강 물길 살리기를 정쟁의 족쇄에서 풀어주자"고 말했다.
이 대변인은 이날 브리핑에서 4대 강 물길 살리기가 대운하 추진을 위한 사전작업이라는 정치권의 공세에 대해 "왜 대운하와 연결하는 지 이해가 안된다. 산은 산이고 물은 물"이라고 비판했다. 그는 "오죽하면 한 지방자치단체장이 '이대로 두면 후대에 죄를 짓는 것'이라고 말했겠나"며 "지역의 숙원"이라고 말했다.
이 대변인은 "자꾸 정쟁화, 정치화 시키니까 문제"라고 지적했다. 이 대변인은 '국민이 반대하면 추진하지 않겠다'고 밝힌 이명박 대통령의 입장이 여전히 유효하냐는 질문에 "당연하다. 입장에 변화가 없다"고 말했다.
