‘난중일기’ 6월 광주서 세계기록유산 등재 결정
국제자문위원회 회의 개최… 새마을운동 기록물도 유력
‘난중일기’와 새마을운동 관련 기록물에 대한 유네스코 세계기록유산(Memory of the World) 등재 여부가 오는 6월 광주시에서 사실상 결정된다.
이경훈 문화재청 국제협력과장은 “6월 18∼21일 광주에서 열리는 제11차 세계기록유산국제자문위원회(IAC·International Advisory Committee)에서 한국이 등재신청한 ‘난중일기’와 새마을운동 관련 기록물에 대한 세계기록유산 등재 심사를 한다”고 27일 밝혔다.
IAC는 기록유산에 대한 등재 심사를 하는 전문가 위원회다. IAC가 등재를 권고하면 유네스코 사무총장은 이를 그대로 추인하기 때문에 이번 회의 결과가 세계기록유산 등재 여부에 결정적이다. 2년마다 열리는 IAC 회의에 각국은 2건 이하로 세계기록유산 등재 심사를 요청할 수 있다.
