 야당 오바마가 보수 꼼짝못하게 할거라 믿어
 김동길 "한국 야당 앞날 걱정" 보수, 진보 편가르기 아니라 '자유민주주의'지키는 것 급선무"


김동길 연세대학교 명예교수는 미국 버락 오바마 차기 대통령의 당선에 한국 좌파진영이 고무된 반응을 보이는 것을 "야당이 '진보로의 변화가 시작됐다'는 한 마디로 마치 민주당은 진보정당인 인상을 준다"고 지적했다. 

김 교수는 11일 자신의 홈페이지에 "(야당이)오바마 미국 대통령이 앞으로 한국의 야당과 손잡고 이명박의 보수정권을 꼼짝도 못 하게 할 것이라는 인상을 풍기고 있다"며 "이런 부당한 판단이 한국의 야당의 판단이라면 앞날이 걱정"이라고 비판했다.

그는 "21세기에 들어선 오늘, 보수니 진보니 하는 편 가르기가 필요한 것이 아니고 우리가 다 살아남기 위해 '자유민주주의'를 표방하는 대한민국을 지키는 일이 급선무"라고 강조했다. 김 교수는 "한국의 보수가 지키겠다는 가치가 무엇이고, 한국의 진보가 뜻하는 바가 뭐냐"고 반문한 뒤 "여도 야도 필요없고 '자유민주주의의 대한민국'을 지키는 일만이 필요하다"고 역설했다.
