유엔총회 8년 연속 북한인권결의안 채택

유엔 인권대표, 정치범 출신 탈북자 면담 북한인권결의안 통과, 국제사회 공감대 반영유엔 북한인권결의안 8년 연속

(미국소리방송)유엔총회가 지난 20일 8년 연속 북한인권결의안을 공식 채택했다.
북한인권결의안은 북한 지도부의 교체에도 불구하고 주민들의 인권 상황이 지속적으로 악화되고 있는데 대해 깊이 우려한다고 밝혔다. 또 6개 분야에 걸쳐 북한 인권 상황 개선을 촉구하고 있다.
올해 결의안은 또 정치범 수용소와 여성의 인권 유린에 대해 우려하는 내용이 새롭게 추가됐다.
결의안은 법적 구속력이 없지만 북한 내 인권유린의 심각성에 대한 국제사회의 깊은 우려를 반영하고 있다.
북한인권결의안은 앞서 지난달 27일 제3위원회에서 사상 처음으로 표결없이 합의로 통과됐다.
유엔총회는 이날 제3위원회의 결과를 존중해 역시 표결 없이 결의안을 채택했다.
유엔 주재 북한대표부의 김 성 참사관은 이번 결의안을 전면 배격한다고 말했다.
