 중국산 H형강 원산지 표시 위반 단속

지식경제부, 관세청, 철강협회 합동단속 실시, 2개 위반업체 제재 예정

 
지식경제부(장관 홍석우)와 관세청(청장 주영섭)은 한국철강협회와 함께 지난 4월 원산지 미표시 혐의를 받고 있는 H형강 수입업체와 가공업체에 대하여 원산지 표시 위반 일제 단속을 실시한다. 

  
그 결과, 수입산 H형강의 원산지 표시를 제거하거나, 절단 도색 천공 등 단순 가공과정을 거친 후 원산지 표시를 하지 않고 판매한 2개 업체를 적발하고 관세청은 이에 대해 과징금·과태료 부과 및 시정조치 명령 등의 조치를 취했다. 

  
H형강은 건축물의 기둥, 보 등 건물의 뼈대에 사용되며 건축물의 안전과 직결되는 철강제품으로서 수입물품과 수입물품의 단순가공 물품은 대외무역법 및 대외무역관리규정에 따라 원산지를 표시해야 한다. 

  
이번 적발업체는 수입 당시 부착되어 있던 종이 스티커를 고의적으로 제거하고 판매하거나, 수입 후 단순가공 과정을 거친 후 가공된 부분에 원산지 표시를 하지 않고 판매한 것으로 드러났다.
