국민생각 “국가 안보는 안위의 기본”
천안함 2주기, 희생장병 뜻 기리며

‘국민생각’은 26일 북한에 의한 천안함 폭침 도발 2주기를 맞아 희생장병의 숭고한 뜻을 기리는 논평을 내고 튼튼한 국가 안보의 중요성을 환기했다.
국민생각은 “2년 전 2010년 3월26일, 안중근 의사 순국 100주년이기도 한 그 날, 우리 바다를 지키던 해군 천안함 장병 46명이 북한의 무력 도발로 순직했다”며 “또 천안함 실종자 수색작업을 벌이다 고(故)한주호 준위는 아까운 목숨을 바다에서 잃었다”고 환기했다.
그러면서 “이 날을 결코 잊어서는 안 될 것”이라며 “국가의 안보는 국민의 안녕과 국가 안위의 기본이다. 튼튼한 안보 없이는 한반도의 어떠한 평화와 번영도 있을 수 없다”고 했다.
특히, “최근 북한의 장거리 로켓 발사 계획은 국제평화와 안전에 대한 중대한 도발 행위”라면서 “북한은 언제든 우리 젊은 장병들의 머리에 총칼을 겨누고, 그 가족과 국민들의 가슴에 눈물과 피멍을 들게 할 수 있다는 점을 잊지 말자”고 강조했다.
나아가 “어떠한 이유에서건 국민의 안위와 국가 안보는 협상의 대상이 될 수 없다”며 “또 어떠한 이유로든 국가를 위해 희생한 숭고한 정신을 폄훼해서도 안 된다”고 했다.
